SNAP-Magat Community Relations Supervisor Veronica Adsuara and SNAP-Magat IT Officer Jerry Baniqued (left) hand over a computer set to Dominick Bandao, barangay captain of Butao in Diadi, Nueva Viscaya as part of the hydropower firm’s CSR support of local government projects. About 180 students and barangay officials will benefit from the computer donation. This is only one of five projects covered by recent agreements of SNAP-Magat with Diadi and four barangays. Other projects are road concreting in Diadi that will benefit about 50 farmers, overflow bridges serving as anti-erosion water channel and walkway for about 350 residents in Brgys. Arwas and Langka, and a tree-farming livelihood and anti-soil erosion project for 163 residents in Brgy. Escoting. SNAP-Magat, a joint venture between SN Power of Norway and AboitizPower, owns and operates the 360-megawatt (MW) Magat Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) located on the border of Isabela and Ifugao.
